Two weeks ago I brought home the newest member of my household... Ellie. The idea was to give my older cat Mungo, who has been a lonely boy since his sister past away, a new friend and a new lease on life. Well so far I can only say he is tolerating her while she gets bolder daily in terms of trying to cuddle and or play. The best moment for me is still a few nights ago when she bounded up and whacked him one on the nose. He did not growl or spit and he did not look in disbelief at her... he turned to me and his expression as cat expression's go was impossible not to read!
But I have caught them sitting together (and if she just resisted the temptation to poke him it would have lasted for longer) and sometimes he greets her without a growl or hiss so I remain hopeful with just a revised time schedule to my original strategy :-) At any rate, these two LOs are of earlier photos of her... the first is from the visit to the breeder when I picked her out from amongst 7 other kittens and the other was taken at about 10 weeks by the breeder. They both use Basic Grey's new line Sweet Threads which is due to come out later this spring. TFL!
